The Decentralised Cooperation Stock Exchange is conceived as an instrument to put in contact local and regional authorities (LRAs) n the EU and their counterpartners in developing countries which wish to engage in development cooperation prjects.

The Stock Exchange includes an automatic mechanism to match the demands and needs expressed by LRAs in developing countries with the "offers" made by the LRAs in the EU and/or other third countries.

For a succesful operation of Stock Exchange, online forms are available for registered LRAs and their representatives to propose cooperation projects, whether offers or demands. The required data follow a specific format and focus on the following:

  1. The type of local or regional authorities (city, region, land, department, etc) as well as the contact information (phone, address, zip code, website) and the name of the contact person
  2. A description of the project and desired goals
  3. The period during which the action should be implemented (start and end dates)
  4. A (s) area (s) of activity of the action in line with nomenclature of the Development Assistance Committee (DAC) and the Millennium Development Goals.
  5. The estimated amount of funds required (in 1000 euros)
  6. The estimated human resources required (in man / years)
  7. Other means (technical assistance, feasibility studies, etc)
