International peace symposium
The Government of Flanders is organizing an international peace symposium in Brussels on Monday, November 4th, 2013.  The symposium will bring together Nobel Peace Prize winners, politicians, scientists and practitioners. The intended outcome of the event is to place the contribution of science as a catalyst for peace firmly on the international agenda. This will be done by  both formulating policy recommendations for intergovernmental organisations and institutions, and at the same time strengthening the links between policy-making, science and practice. This initiative also aims to underline the societal potential of science in addition to its traditionally well-known economic role

The symposium takes place at The Event Lounge in Brussels (Schaarbeek).  You can find the programme and all practical information, as well as registration information on the event website: www.peacesymposium.be
